When Your Dog Blows Your Mind

Yes, we are so emotionally connected to our pet partners that it is easy to lose objectivity and block our abilities to connect with them. We also worry that we're disappointing them, and we're in the dark about how to support their greatest happiness.
Well, so much time had passed since I last really tuned into Mister T that I was beginning to wonder if I could still hear him. I said "You know, I really don't want to have to hire someone in order to hear you. I'm just going to pick up the pen so please talk to me." He clearly knew what was on my mind and blew me away with this:
MISTER T:
“I have no expectations of you so you can’t disappoint me.
I accept whatever happens and however you feel and act in every moment.
I don’t compare you to anyone else, including you at other times.
I don’t compare this home to that home, this person to that person, what we are doing or where we live or whether it is just us or a bigger family - to any other place, person or situation.
Everything is always perfect in every moment: I have food, love, safety, a beautiful home, a bed and people who love me.
After that, everything else is fluid: it comes and goes but it isn’t important.
I don’t think about things all the time the way you do.
I don’t know why you think you need to be better or different.
I love you the way you are. You are beautiful and when you stop thinking, your light shines so brightly and full of love.
You are always trying so hard but what you are is what God made – and it is always enough, just the way that it is.”
AND THAT IS HOW OUR DOGS SEE US... ENOUGH SAID.
